When Cartoons Stop Being Friendly
A normal Friday Night Funkin' battle isn't what you'll find in FNF: Pibby Corrupted. The mod drops Boyfriend into a crossover nightmare where well-known cartoon characters have been infected by a mysterious force that twists their appearance and behavior. Teaming up with Pibby, he faces a growing list of corrupted opponents while trying to avoid becoming part of the infection himself.
Fighting Through the Glitch
The controls follow the classic Friday Night Funkin' setup. Players press the Arrow Keys or WASD as notes reach their targets. The challenge comes from everything happening around those notes.
Glitch arrows can suddenly appear among normal patterns. Pressing one often results in a huge health penalty. Meanwhile, the screen may shake, flicker, change color, or become covered in static. Some songs even drain health automatically whenever the corrupted opponent sings, forcing players to stay accurate throughout the entire battle.
Certain versions introduce an ammo mechanic where Boyfriend can fire a weapon to fight back against the corruption and recover health.
A Roster Full of Corrupted Icons
One of the biggest attractions is the character lineup. Players encounter corrupted versions of Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Steven, Spinel, Mordecai, SpongeBob, Mickey Mouse, Timmy Turner, Jenny, and many others.
The soundtrack reflects that variety. Songs such as My Monster, Save The Day, Glitched Gem, Self Restraint, Malware, Nanovirus, House of Mouse, Black Mark, and Treasure Island each bring a different style and level of difficulty.
